Bangladesh Vs West Indies ODI and T 20 Live2011 | Watch Live Cricket on our live page. Bangladesh Television (BTV) will telecast live match between West Indies and Bangladesh.

Update nerws:West Indies captain Darren Sammy, in his usual cool and composed style, stressed playing good cricket to win the series against Bangladesh.

The visiting skipper, speaking at a press conference at SBNS on Wednesday, wiped out any thoughts of taking revenge, but vowed to remain focused on finishing the tour as the victors.
Sammy said his team have taken the ideal preparation for the upcoming challenges.

“We are ready to give a good account of ourselves in the lone T20, three ODIs and the two Tests.

About the absence of hard-hitting opener Chris Gayle, Sammy said, “That’s beyond my concern, sir.”
Commenting about the Bangladesh’s 3-0 ODI series victory in 2009, Sammy was in a realistic mood.

“We are not haunted by the last series defeat against Bangladesh. It’s something that we are aware of. Last time Bangladesh defeated us at home and now we have a good opportunity to do the same here. We all know that Bangladesh are very good at home and we look forward to a very competitive series. And well, we have our ways to achieve our goals.”

On taking revenge, he said, “No it’s never revenge. It’s making full use of the opportunities presented to us. We have a young squad here and also we want to gain experience and play good competitive cricket. We want to come out and hopefully end as the victorious one.”

“We will be looking to charge at out peak. We don’t hope to bowl out the opponents below hundred every game. We played good cricket in the last series, but we don’t take any results for granted. We want to focus on what we can do.”

However, he did not hesitate to show respect to the hosts.

“We expect Bangladesh to put a serious challenge. It’s their backyard, they know the conditions better. But we have the ICC emerging player of the year Devendra Bishoo and we expect him to excel. We also have a good pace attack and hopefully it will work against the Bangladesh batting.”

And teamwork is also in the skipper’s plans. “I expect every bowler to play their part. Not only the spinners, but also every batsman and every all-rounder is excepted to play good all-round cricket. Whether it’s batting, bowling or fielding, it’s gonna be an interesting series. And like one journalist said we have performed bad in the last series, we will take lessons from it.”

Sammy was missing the DRS as well. “DRS is a very good inclusion in the game and it’s unfortunate that we are not having it in the series. We would welcome all the measures that eliminate the errors of the game.” The fast bowling department, however, drew the attention of the skipper. “A fast bowler can bowl fast in any wicket. Our bowling has improved in the last year. Otis Gibson has worked hard and there’s no doubt that we can bowl out the opponent twice. Our fast bowlers have been good for us and with Bishoo we have a very good balance. We look to take 20 Bangladesh wickets and win the series. We have three genuine fast bowlers in the squad and Bishoo is also there.”

Sammy wished the new Bangladesh skipper all the best. “Mushfiqur Rahim is a cool fellow. He is very competitive, standing behind the wicket he gets a good view of the ground and I think you will get a good captain.”

About the use of two balls, Sammy thought it would certainly have an effect.

“I think we will see less reverse swings. We will get 25-over-old balls and it would not swing as a 30-over-old ball,” thought Sammy.
