Chelsea's Portuguese coach has recruited Andre Villas-Boas as manager of the club seventh in eight years by Russian billionaire Roman Abramovich.
The 33-year-Villas-Boas, who is often compared to his compatriot and former Chelsea manager Jose Mourinho has signed a three-year contract with the London club on Wednesday after resigning from his position at Porto.
His contract with the Portuguese champions ended Tuesday after receiving the payment of $ 21.5 million to trigger his release clause.
Villas-Boas managed as manager Carlo Ancelotti to Stamford Bridge after the dismissal of the Italian coach the last day of last season, despite winning the Premier League-FA Cup double last year.
